Introducing noto studio

Introducing noto studio

In 2023, we launched roast & revel as a small side project with one goal: to design custom 3D-printed tamper stations with a perfect fit - tools made for those who love to take their coffee ritual one step further. What began as a niche offering for home baristas has slowly, thoughtfully evolved into something broader: a design practice focused on enduring materials, quiet aesthetics, and the beauty of the everyday.

Today, we’re excited to share the next step in that journey:
roast & revel is becoming noto studio.

Why noto studio?

The name noto stands for noticing, for nuance, and - quietly - for Nora and Tobias, the team behind noto studio. It's rooted in an approach to design that values subtlety over spectacle. We pay close attention to form, texture, material, and use - thoughtful choices, considered details, and pieces that make the everyday feel a little more intentional.

studio speaks to the way we work - iterating on ideas, exploring materials, and refining form through modern prototyping tools like 3D printing. It’s a space for experimentation and evolution, where products take shape through care, curiosity, and intention.

What hasn’t changed

While the name and visual identity are new, the principles behind them remain the same:

The essence of roast & revel lives on - refined, but intact.

  • Carefully crafted, small-batch objects
  • A love for simplicity and minimalistic design
  • A commitment to quality and sustainability

What’s ahead

With this shift comes a refreshed visual identity, a more intuitive online experience, and room to grow creatively. We’ll continue sharing new work, behind-the-scenes process, and collaborations that inspire us. As a small studio, we remain personal. Still evolving - one thoughtful step at a time.

Thank you

To those who’ve supported us from the beginning - to those just discovering us - thank you. Your interest, your encouragement, and your shared love of detail have helped shape this journey.

Warmly,
Tobias
Founder of noto studio (formerly roast & revel)
