Will this work with my Linea Micra?
Yes. We have designed this both for plumbed-in and reservoir-only setups. The centered placement requires a custom drain box and reservoir which will come as part of this kit.
Do I need to modify my Linea Micra?
Some modifications are required, but everything is fully reversible. You’ll continue to use your stock full-tray indicator. The main change is removing the drain box cover from the original tray and attaching it to the new drain box. You can find our step-by-step guide in the "Instructions & Care" section.
My Linea Micra is not black, will it still work?
Yes! You will use your "original" drain box cover and attach it to the new drain box.
Why injection molding instead of 3D printing?
3D printing is great for prototyping, but not for long-term durability or food safety. The reservoir in particular must be certified food-safe, which is only possible with professional-grade injection molding.
How much water does the new reservoir hold?
The new reservoir will have a capacity of roughly 1.5L.
Why does it cost €399?
Most of the cost comes from tooling (€10K),certification (€1.5K), and shipping/packaging setup. Once those are covered, the components are manufactured to professional standards. This is a small-batch, niche upgrade designed for espresso enthusiasts who demand the best.

This drip tray solved the clearance issue with the micra, i can use any cups or mugs I like. The Tray and the water reservoir are of a high quality and look right at home on the micra. Installation was a breeze, just follow the youtube vid and you will be all good.
I just received the drip tray upgrade kit for my Linea Micra - and it is simply just great.
The packaging had a very premium feel to it. The instruction video was very explanatory - and made it easy like a breeze.
Result: Looks awesome - I just love the way my Acaia Lunar flushes with the drip tray.
Quality of materials/machining/fit is as good or better than the original components being replaced. Clear instructions and simple installation. My machine is plumbed in so I did not need the water tank. The drain pipe thread is identical to the original and fits perfectly.
Really impressive all round and great to support someone who imagined a meaningful design improvement to the Micra and obviously has the execution skills to get this project done. I hope you guys make money from your hard work! Couldn’t be happier!
The added clearance under the group head gives me more room to work without feeling cramped. Fit and finish are excellent and match the machine well. Simple change, noticeable improvement in daily use.

The new tray looks great and was easy to install. The Lunar fits well and it’s a slick setup.
A significant flaw however is that the replacement water tank has a different size hole than the stock tank for the water outlet. Because of this difference I was forced to use the plastic quick disconnect that came with the tank instead of the all stainless quick disconnect that I already owned. There is no reason why replacement tank should have a different size hole than the original.
I would give this 3.5 if I could. It’s a great concept, looks professional, install was as easy as described, however there are some issues with the metal drip tray.
Firstly, it does not fit as snuggly as I expected and will slide side to side with very little pressure.
Secondly, the recess for the scale only has grates on the front half. When I remove the scale to flush the group, water tends to pool on the solid metal surface of the recess. I assume it is half-solid, half-grated for scale stability, however I wonder if it should be the front half of the recessed area that is solid to rectify this issue.
Thirdly, the cutouts that allow you to lift the scale out could use some deburring as there are some sharp edges.

On the drip tray:
1. Fit/side-to-side movement: The dimensions match the original La Marzocco components (drip tray and drain box) exactly. That said, the mirror front's position varies slightly machine to machine, which can affect how snug the fit feels - it shouldn't move much, though. If yours does, either shifting the mirror front slightly down or adding small rubber buffers on the sides should fix it. Just let us know and we'll ship a set of buffers out to you at no cost.
2. Solid back half of the recess: That's intentional - the machine drains wastewater at the back, and without solid metal there, steam from the hot waste water would collect under the scale, which could throw off your measurements or even damage the scale over time. So the grates are on the front half specifically to keep the scale stable while venting properly.
3. Sharp edges on the lift-out cutouts: That shouldn't be happening - sounds like a quality control miss on this unit. Please reach out directly, and if you could include a couple of photos of the affected edges, that would help us trace it back and make sure it doesn't happen again. We'll get a fix sorted for you either way.

This drip tray mod fits like a glove. It was pretty easy to install, and it’s working wonderfully. I’m so happy that I bought this!
This product fixes one of the main issues with a Micra over a Mini. Cup clearance this kit fixes that perfectly. The product packaging and design was very well thought out. The metal tray looks higher quality than the factory micra tray. Having the scale be flush provides such a clean look!
Exceptional quality, great design and straightforward installation. My only complaint is the smaller water reservoir size (1.5L). But overall it’s a great upgrade and an excellent product.
This is a must-have! Now I have more clearance, and it’s a very high-quality product.

Amazing! Although I first thought is sucked as I didn't realize I needed too cannibalize the existing tray. You should add the install video to your images in the product section or put somewhere more visible. Once I read the other 5 star reviews someone mentioned there was a youtube install video. I'm sure there is a link to it in your packaging; but ain't nobody got time for that, lol...
Very happy with this and the quality of life improvement it provides. To be honest all my cups already fit with the scale, but it's nice to have a little extra space tow rok.
